November is Cool!

What is so cool about November? It is the month where I get to pretend that I am an actual novelist, working against a tight deadline.
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo for short) is one of coolest things I have ever done. Abandon your inner critic, fire that vicious personal editor, at least for thirty days and focus on quantity not quality! The only goal is to write 50,000 words between November 1st and 30th.
You will be surprised how much fun it can be to just tell a story. Plot holes? No problem! Inconsistent characters? Par for the course! Rambling, incoherent dialogue? Bonus wordcount! And more surprising than anything else is the amount of GOOD writing that will appear magically from nowhere. Once we free our muse and fire our editor, anything can happen.
Register for this annual insanity beginning October 1st at the NaNoWriMo website:

Happy Noveling!
